Emily Beck, MD:

Dr. Emily M. Beck is a board-certified Sleep Medicine physician with extensive experience in both clinical care and research. She earned her M.D. from East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine in 2008, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida. After completing a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the University of Florida, Dr. Beck became a faculty member and physician at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, where she worked from 2012 to 2024.

Dr. Beck is deeply committed to advancing the field of sleep medicine, with specific clinical interests in sleep disordered breathing, parasomnias, circadian rhythm sleep disorders, and narcolepsy. She is also certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Her research contributions include published works on sleep therapy adherence and cloud-based sleep coaches, and she has been involved in numerous national committees focused on improving sleep care in veterans.

In addition to her clinical and research roles, Dr. Beck is a passionate advocate for improving access to sleep medicine, particularly in rural areas. She has developed and led telehealth initiatives to expand insomnia care and improve positive airway pressure (PAP) adherence for veterans.

Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Beck enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and travel.
